Washi tape stickers – do it yourself party favors

final washibunnybagI have to admit it – I love washi tape but using it is not always easy. You can cover lots of stuff like pens and pencils but how to use it in a more complex crafting projects with kids??? This weekend we learned how to make WASHI TAPE STICKERS! Using this simple technique any image can be converted into a colorful sticker. We are getting ready for our Easter party and needed little bags for our party favors

You will need:
Washi tape
Waxed paper or Parchment paper

Let’s get started:

Step 1: Draw outline of the image to be created as a sticker.

Step 2: Prepare a piece of parchment paper cutting it slightly larger than the image. Create long pleats by folding.

Step 3: Create enough pleats so that more than one will be on the back of the sticker.

Step 5: Turn over the parchment paper and cover will pieces of washi tape. Make sure that your washi tapes lies perpendicular to the pleats. It is a good idea to start at the bottom of the image and overlap a the washi tape stips.
