Pop Art Alphabet: Romero Britto inspired letters

POP ART IS FUN! During the week of FunLab Art camp dedicated to Romero Britto, our young artists had a blast with the brillant colors and patterns used by this Brazilian genius. One of the projects that we developed was the FUNLAB alphabet using Britto inspired colors and repeating patterns. An easy and fun project guaranteed to bring happiness to any inspiring artist.

Ages: 5 to 10 years of age
Vocabulary devolopement: vibrant, yellow, blue, purple, red, black, glue, outline, patterns, dots, ziz zag, glue, tissue paper, alphabet, letters

You will need:
Watercolor paper
Lamination glue
Glitter glue
Acrylic Paint
3D Outliners

Lets get started:

Step 1: Cut out your letter from watercolor paper and cover with colored tissue paper and lamination glue.

Step 2: Let the tissue paper/lamination glue dry overnight.

Step 3: Trace outline of the different colors with glue mixed with black acrylic paint.

Step 4: Decorate with 3D outliners and glitter glue to recreate the Britto style patterns.
