Why is everything cuter in the miniature version? To celebrate this Halloween I decided to create a miniature HAUNTED HOUSE. Obviously a haunted house needs mini pumpkins and ghosts! I am not ready to show my haunted house but the mini pumpkins and ghosts are ready. Let me show you how we made them. All you need to make these mini pumpkins and ghosts is a little supersoft air dry clay (click here for where we got ours).
We did not have orange clay so we had to mix together red and yellow clay to make it. I have to admit that this might have been my favorite part of the project. Mixing the clays together to get the right shade of orange was loads of fun.
Let’s get started!
After we created our perfect shade of orange we formed little pumpkins and then ghosts.
We let the mini pumpkins and ghosts dry overnight and then painted them with school glue to give them a finish.
Once the glue completely dried we were ready to draw little faces on the mini ghosts.
Our mini pumpkins and ghosts are ready!
My haunted house is not finished so I decided to make center piece for the dining room table – a MINI PUMPKIN PATCH! What do you think?
keep crafting
