Last week we worked on making mini pumpkins and ghosts – read the post if you haven’t had a chance! I am still not ready to show you our DIY haunted house but I wanted to share these adorable mini acorn BATS that we made for the house. Last year we collected loads of acorns and slow roasted them so that they would last for ever.
So when we were looking through our fall material, I decided to try to make bats for our haunted house using the acorns! They are so cute I can’t wait to add them to the haunted house.
It is really easy to do. All you need are acorns, black paint, felt and a black and white marker. The first step is to paint the acorns black. Have to admit that we made a huge mess!
We cut out different sizes of wings from the black felt and glued them onto the acorns.
To creat eyes we used a white uniposca and a black marker.
Our bats are finished!
