DYI: Monster Pinata

Organizing a birthday party for your little one can be a stressful (and expensive) undertaking.  Try making this easy MONSTER PINATA – guaranteed to be a monsterous sucess with all the little ones!  We decided to use one of the toy catalogs lying around the house after Christmas to make a recylced pinata with a monter touch.  All you need is: washable school glue, a paint brush, chenille stems and a little bit of craft foam.  Oh yeah – don’t forget the yummy treats to fill the pinata!

You will need:
craft foam
washable school glue
chenille stems
hot glue gun
balloon
candy

Let’s get started:
Step 1: Tear catalog into strips. Dilute glue 1:2 with water. Completely cover balloon with strips of paper and use brush to paint with diluted glue. Let dry.

Step 2: Pop balloon and remove.

Step 3: Use chenille stems and cardboard to make a hanger for your pinata.

Step 4: Insert inside the pinata. Make 4 holes in the pinata and slip the chenille stems through the holes.

Step 5: Fill with candy and cover hole with more paper.

Step 6: Use chenile stems to add arms, horns and eye. Glue onto pinata with hot glue gun.

Step 7: Use craft foam to add a mouth with long fangs! Glue onto pinata with hot glue gun.

Your pinata is ready for the PARTY! Hang off of a long rope and let the kids have a MONSTER of a good time.
