I am back with a quick post this week about an experience I had the other afternoon. Just to set the context, Donatella and I started FunLab over ten years ago. We have always had a dream in the back pocket: sponsoring a brand of toys. Well the day has come with 4M! This company seems to be made just for FunLab: a mix of quality kits which span from scientific to artistic adventures. After what seemed to be an extremely long wait, the first container arrived and it was time to start trying out our kits. The first kit that I decided to open is the Create your own Caleidoscope. I have to admit that I was so thrilled to see the FunLab logo on the bottom of the box which is all in ITALIAN!
The magic of the caleidoscope!
I thought that the fun would be the building and decorating of the caleidoscope itself. The instructions were really clear and easy to follow so it was done in no time at all.
But I have to admit, that it was after the caleidoscope was built that the real fun began. You can create and change the caleidoscope effect using the objects included in the kit! The lid at the end comes off and you can switch out its contents. The kit included stars, coloured film and loads of beads so you can mix and max to create unique images.
I tried to take pictures of a few of the combinations that we liked the most but I can’t decide which one is my favorite. Yellow or red?
If you want to see how we built the caleidoscope make sure that you watch the reel @funlabmi on Instagram. I have to admit that it was a wonderful way to initiate the new project discovering the magic of the caleidoscope.
