Creative Lemonade stand

Summer Fun

Summer is coming (sadly) to an end. Last week while I was camping with the kids, we dedicated a lazy afternoon to putting together a CREATIVE LEMONADE STAND! I always travel with odds and ends for crafting on the go so we made a simple lemonade banner using paper, twine and adhesive letters. Ten minutes later we had set up our Creative Lemonade Stand on our picnic bench in the campsite. Oh, I forgot one detail. We used the ERZI lemonade kit! We love this kit because you can add wooden blueberries, raspberries, mint, orange and ice to personalize your lemonade! CREATE YOUR OWN LEMONADE!

It was so much fun to watch our neighboring campsite kids’ surprise when they saw our Creative Lemonade Stand. Later in the afternoon, we went on a hike and I decided to take our lemonade stand on the road. Instead of the table, we used a big rock on the side of the path and the fun started again!

Back in the city as we were talking about the holiday the kids asked me to make some homemade lemonade (not wood this time) and here is my favorite recipe:

  1. Combine 250 ml of water with 200 grams of sugar in a pan. Heat over low heat until the sugar has completely melted. Let cool.
  2. Add 250 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir.
  3. Add around 1 liter of cold water and stir (you can reduce the water if you want a stronger lemonade) and stir.

Add ICE and your lemonade is ready to go!

I hope that you have had a wonderful summer holiday.

Keep crafting where ever you go!

Alison
