String Art – the ultimate rainy afternoon activity

String Art: the ultimate rainy afternoon activity
FunLab has been holding summer camps since the first year that it opened 10 years ago. This year due to COVID, we did not hold our yearly craft camp but that doesn’t mean that we have stopped crafting! A couple of years ago during one of our camps we did this great craft – STRING ART. It was a lot of fun but quite a bit of work for me to put together.

The other afternoon we had a guest and I decided to try out the STRING ART kit by Lena. This String Art kit was so easy and the end result was perfect. The kit contains everything you need to do two string art projects.

The kit contains two black foam squares that have been preprinted with a star and a flamingo. All the little crafter has to do is insert a pin where ever two lines intersect. Then it is time to start adding color with the included thread.

In order to show you how easy it is to make string art projects with the Lena kit, I decided to make a short video.

See how easy it is to keep your kids crafting with FunLab even if our summer camps are closed this summer!  We are looking forward to being able to host our kids next summer but in the meantime try out this idea at home.
take care
