Book club + craft project: Tiger’s Delicious Treats

Tiger's Delicious Treats craft
It is time to go back to school! I am busy trying to put together some new book clubs plus craft projects for this school year. One thing that always slows me down as a teacher is the cost of new books. Therefore, in order to save money, this year I decided to try an online FREE BOOK. I found this great site with lots of books which can be downloaded as .pdf or read as a flipbook. (Click here for link). I really liked the book about misunderstandings and new friendships so I created this Book club + craft project for Tiger’s Delicious Treats. The project that I decided to link to the reading is by Andreja at easypeasyandfun for corner bookmarks. You can watch the video tutorial and see how easy it is! We adapted the tiger corner bookmark to make RABBIT, DEER and PIG for tiger’s new friends!

Not sure how to run a book club? Read this post: BOOK CLUB IN THE BILINGUAL CLASSROOM

We will focus on the following words in this class: tiger, pie, rabbit, deer, pig, cook, afraid and sad. If you need flashcards you can download the Tiger’s Delicious Treats – flashcards to use for games during the activity.

My son really loved the tiger bookmark that I created as an example – look how we are using it to take a bite out of summer reading!
