Easter Craft for Kids: Funny bunnies

No Easter would be complete without little Easter bunnies to decorate the house. Last year we made bunnies out of socks but this year I wanted to do something a little different. I have always seen wooden beads at craft stores and wondered how they could be used with the kids. After looking around the web, I realized that they make great bodies for animal crafts.  Here is my first attempt at using this great craft basic in a project for little hands.

You will need:
Various sizes of wooden beads
Acrylic paint
Chenille stems
Craft foam
Pom poms
Google eyes

Let’s get started:
Step 1: Paint the wooden beads.  You need to have two sizes:  one for the head and one for the body.

Step 2: Cut a chenille stem in half and thread through the beads (will hold the head bead onto the body bead).

Step 3: Fold the protruding pieces of chenille stem into ear shapes.

Step 4: Cut out two white ears and two pieces of pink pieces out of craft foam.  Assemble the ears.

Step 5: Glue the craft foam ears onto the chenille stems.

Step 6: Glue on eyes.
Step 7: Glue on a small pink pom pom as a nose.
Step 8: Cut out teeth from a piece of white craft foam and glue on under the nose.

Step 9: Glue on a white pom pom for a tail.

Step 10: Cut out feet from the white craft foam and glue onto the bottom of your bunny.

YOUR BUNNY IS READY FOR EASTER!
